Ceceda I

This week has been crazy. Exactly 1 week ago we left Donkey Paradise ( :( ), and went to help Anjo at her house. The job description
includes helping take care of 10 dogs... most of which are foster dogs and live with Anjo temporarily between going from Animales de Oriente, to their adopted homes.

Anjo's house is really nice. It's in the country side of the town Ceceda, (Nava), Spain. It's higher on a hill, so you can see houses and mountains on almost all sides of you. Having a washing machine and high speed internet feels like luxury :P

Our work has been a little of everything. Most of our time has been divided among Donkey-Proofing a meadow, so that Anjo can take care of a few donkeys in addition to the 10 dogs, and "socializing" with the dogs. Renee, the official-dog-petter has been hard at work. (Pictured is Jazzy - an adorable whipit that is one of the friendliest dogs.)

  1. Hello to you both,

I'm so impressed with what you've posted (messages and photos).

I had no idea there was so much love/dedication for donkeys.....for dogs, clearly, but donkeys? I now have a little respect for donkeys, who knew they had the brain-power to have personalities, the stories you tell about their behavior are fun to read.

Alex, I'm impressed to see that there are some dogs that you have warmed up to.....maybe when you next see Pirate, Captain & Lucca you'll think differently about them.

I love the picture of Renee hugging the dog -- all the pictures are great. I want to see more of Alex, face on, pls.

Anyway, the last time I tried to post a comment, I was stymied because I didn't have one of those account "thingys" (a very hi-tech term). Yvonne says that's been changed so here goes.....Love, Kathleen

  2. OMG I WANT THAT DOG
I would totally teach that dog the *jazz hands* command, which would indicate I wanted to play with him.
